Venus in Virgo
A Virgo Venus is the work of art. Not a work of art. Not the final vision, but the process of creating it. And not because they’re not beautiful people or don’t make beautiful things. They often are, and do. It’s just not their value nor their priority to sit in static admiration. They’re in service of beauty, yet deeply and pragmatically skeptical of anything too pretty. Venus is in her fall in Virgo and while she has exquisite taste as all Venus in earth signs do, she is intellectually removed and disidentified with the outcome. Usefulness is still of concern. Virgo is not a cynical sign, but a Venus in Virgo relates to the world with a transcendent form of practicality. They know life on earth is hard, but there is a spiritual purpose in relating to its chaos (Nietzsche had a Venus, Mars, and Midheaven in Virgo) . So we often get a sort of ritualistic dollhouse effect. We see their world, but we’re also watching them organizel it.
It’s the Venus that finds peace in rifling through material, editing, and storyboarding. Needless to say this placement is ripe with incredible stylists, editors, directors, designers. While there are the usual Virgo notes of acerbic benevolence and perfectionism, I love when this Venus puts its devotion to procedure on display. When the mechanics of production and precision of detail are laid bare and become balletic in themselves. They rehearse, they hit every mark. They don’t need to make their effort look effortless, but they’re fantastic at doing it gracefully.
As always, all the following people have this placemtent. Now hit your mark!
